Note: Rooting voids the warranty of your device.

Before You Start:

1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Star Pro on your computer. (Or samsung kies)

2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the device by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.

3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.

4. The Galaxy Star Pro should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.

5. Ensure the battery of the device is charged more than 80 percent.

6. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Star Pro by selecting Settings >> About Phone.

Necessary Downloads:

1. CWM Recovery

2. SuperSU

3. Odin 3.07

Procedure:

Step 1: Extract the Odin 3.07 and CWM Recovery files using winrar/7zip/winzip or any other extracting tool.

Step 2: Copy the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.75.zip file to the SD card of your phone.

Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Star Pro. Then boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.

Step 4: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.

Step 5: Connect the Galaxy Star Pro to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.

NoteIf the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 6: In Odin, click the PDA button and select the recovery.tar.md5 file.

Step 7: Double-check and click Start button in Odin. The installation process will now begin.

Step 8: Once the installation process completes, you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect it from the computer.

Step 9: Reboot the device into CWM Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together.

Step 10: In CWM Recovery, select "install zip from sdcard" and then select "choose zip from sdcard". Now, navigate to the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.75.zip file that you copied earlier and confirm the installation by selecting Yes.

Step 11: Once installation process is completed, return to main recovery menu and select "reboot system now".

IF ABOVE METHOD DOES NOT WORK TRY FOLLOWING ONE CLICK ROOT METHODS:

1) Root Galaxy Star Pro S7262 With Framaroot Rooting Tool.

    1. Install the Quick Boot (Reboot) app from Play Store on your Galaxy Star Pro | Play store link →https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siriusapplications.quickboot
Open the app and grant Root Access
Select ‘Recovery‘ from the list of options and it’ll boot your device into recovery mode
If this also does not work then you will have to flash stock firmware on it...so tell me this is working or not..

    2. Or here is another method:

backup your SD card (it will be formatted)
1)you have to install CWM recovery
2)After going to cwm recovry select advanced
      3)Then goto partition sd card
      4)Recommended size is 250mb
      5)Then select zero
6)you have successfully partitioned sd card
      7)now install linkToSD
      8)most important-leave a comment after workdone.

you can install custom roms so that you can experince 4.2 or higher than that of waiting for official updates..
there are many things you can do...you are just a lil serch away..

    1. I think while rooting your device was not updated to 4.1.2 so that this problem persist....

      Delete
  36. It came with 4.1.2 and also updated from Samsung server !! its not the problem. Problem is with ur files. The CWM recovery file u posted...is not good. the main reason of opening android stock recovery mode instead of CWM recovery is that CWM is not being installed !! I have downloaded CWM from another site..and it worked like charm ... and I didn't even had to boot my device to recovery mode..as soon as Odin installed CWM, it rebooted itself into CWM mode !! ur obdin settings has 1 problem too. enable auto reboot there!!
