Flash Stock Firmware/Rom On Galaxy Y Duos Lite/Pocket Duos GT-S5302

Here is the procedure on installing and flashing stock Rom on GT-S6102.I also tested this on my Galaxy y.Flashing stock ROMs is useful in downgrading or upgrading to any available firmware versions you desired.

This has been also useful for unbricking purposes for a bricked device, reverting back to original stock or if you needed your device warranty back.

Necessary Downloads:

Stock firmware files  Download Here
Odin flasher for Galaxy Y duos lite Download Here
Driver – Samsung Drivrs or Samsung Kies  Download Here.
USB cable – use the supplied USB cable of your Galaxy Y Duos Lite/Pocket Duos. (Odin will not work Mac and Linux OS).

PC or laptop – running on Windows xp or later OS.

Your Phone – Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Lite GT-S5302



Before You Start:

1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Lite on your computer. (Or samsung kies)


2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the device by navigating to Settings >> Developer 

Options.

3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.


4. The Galaxy Y duos Lite should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.

5. Ensure the battery of the device is charged more than 80 percent.


Procedure To Update Your Device To Jelly Bean 4.2.1: 
1. First extract the downloaded files on your desktop.

2. Now Reboot your device into Download Mode:

- Turn Off your phone.
- Press and Hold the Volume Down+Home+Power keys all together at the same time for a few seconds.
- Once you see the warning message, then just hit the Volume Up key and you’re done.
3. Next, Run the Odin application on your PC.
4. While in Download Mode, Connect your device to PC via the USB Cable and make sure you’ve successfully installed USB Drivers for your phone on PC.
5.Check that Odin has recognized your device. and the ID:COM port will either turn blue or yellow and you should also see an Added!! in the message section.
6. Also chek that the ‘Auto Reboot‘ and ‘F. Rest Time‘ and rest leave the default Odin settings.
7.Click on the PDA button and browse the Firmware update file.(if available)
8. Similar to that select Phone (modem) ,CSC and pit files if availabe.
9.After selecting the correct file (tar.md5) then hit START button and wait.
10. Finally you need to wait for Odin to completely flash the update file. As it completes, Odin will notify you via the PASS!! Message and your device should automatically reboot.
11. If it does not reboot automatically reboot then go to recovery (vol. up+power+home)  mode and clear cache and wipe data.
That's it you have successfully flashed your samsung galaxy y duos lite/pocket duos 5302.For any questions comment below.

    1. Yes smith its safe and quite simple to upgrade your galaxy pocket to 4.2.1.. Do not worry about bricking of phone and go ahead.. comment here if any problem occurs..

  7. i rooted my device - samsung galaxy duos lite from your tutorials but now ts not opening when booted... I tried several times.. please help me as fast as you can... i want to revert my phone back to factory reset and unroot it.. Please help me..

    1. Don't worry bro.. just go to recovery mode by pressing HOME+VOLUME UP+POWER BUTTON and clear cache and wipe data by (use volume buttons to navigate and home button to select)..then reboot your device..thats it ..it will be okey..if its not going to recovery mode then you would have to flash stock rom by this tutorial..if any problem persists you can comment here again..I will help you as much as possible ..
